Didier Deschamps on Kylian Mbappé’s situation: “The truth is far from reality”

France national team coach Didier Deschamps has backed Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé after the reports of him being desperate to leave PSG sooner rather than later and then the club using “digital armies” to smear the image of the Frenchman on social networks between 2018 and 2020.

Speaking to Canal+, Deschamps, who will reveal the French squad for the upcoming World Cup on November 9, said that it’s quite natural to talk about a player and person like Mbappé, claiming that those reports were far from showing the reality. As reported by RMC Sport, the 2018 World Cup-winning coach said:

“Kylian is Kylian, by what he does on the field and what he can do outside too. We talk a lot about him. It’s not a negative thing to say, given what he does, it’s logical that we talk about him. Unfortunately, in these times, there are many people who think they have the truth. But it is far from reality.”
