Bayern Munich and Manchester United make approach for Monaco’s Axel Disasi

Saber Desfarges of Téléfoot reports this morning that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are interested in signing Monaco’s Axel Disasi, with both clubs having initiated approaches in order to bring in the defender.

The Frenchman, who featured at the World Cup this winter in an unfamiliar right-back position, is nevertheless expected to stay in the Principality, at least until the end of the current season.

The German champions, as reported by RMC several weeks ago, have made Disasi one of their targets. Monaco would be asking for more than €50m, and with fellow centre-back Benoît Badiashile having already left, the team are unlikely to let another crucial defender leave so soon afterwards. The former Reims man has made a century of appearances for the club since joining in 2020, finding the net ten times, and has shown form which culminated in his three France caps at the World Cup.
